We are seeking an experienced Settlement Officer to join a fast-paced Title Insurance company in Houston. The ideal candidate is driven, detail-oriented, professional, and confident in managing high-volume transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform all settlement duties, including funding and closing of transactions

  • Open new escrows and accurately record all received documentation

  • Prepare and review estimated and final settlement statements for buyers and sellers

  • Coordinate with lenders to meet funding and closing conditions

  • Update and maintain accurate status reports for clients

  • Communicate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, and agents to finalize transaction details

  • Verify wiring instructions and set up disbursement wires with the bank

  • Ensure all disbursement information is accurate and properly documented

  • Confirm that all disbursements match the approved settlement statements

  • Provide backup support to the team and assist with all aspects of the transaction process

  • Perform customer service and clerical support as needed to ensure smooth settlement processes

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in title, escrow, or real estate settlement preferred

  • Strong knowledge of settlement procedures and documentation

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously

  • Comfortable working under deadlines and handling compliance-driven, high-stakes transactions
