Field Trainer Commercial Cooking Equipment (Travel Role)
Location: California (near any international airport)
Travel: 15 20 days per month across the U.S.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Field Trainer to deliver in-person training and support for our commercial cooking equipment. You'll visit major supermarket and wholesale club chains across the U.S., helping their in-store teams learn to use, maintain, and troubleshoot our products confidently.
This is a travel-heavy, independent role ideal for someone who's comfortable teaching others, enjoys being on the move, and has a knack for understanding how things work.
What You'll Do

Travel to customer sites nationwide to deliver hands-on training sessions.

Guide teams through live cooking demonstrations using Hardt equipment.

Conduct basic inspections, calibration, and troubleshooting in the field.

Escalate complex technical issues to our service team when needed.

Perform regional training sessions and site surveys as assigned.

Prepare and submit trip and expense reports promptly.

Follow up with customers after visits to ensure ongoing satisfaction and proper equipment use.

Occasionally travel to our Montreal, Canada headquarters for training.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background

3+ years in a customer-facing role (training, coaching, hospitality, retail, or sales).

Experience using tools or working with technical or mechanical equipment is a plus.
Skills & Traits

Technically inclined and comfortable explaining how equipment works.

Strong communication and people skills able to teach and build trust quickly.

Highly independent, organized, and adaptable in changing environments.

Problem-solver who can stay calm and professional under pressure.

Physically able to stand for long hours and lift up to 60 lbs during demos.
Education & Travel Requirements

High school diploma required; post-secondary education a plus.

Valid driver's license and passport required (must be eligible to travel and work in the U.S.).

Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, NEXUS, or SENTRI memberships are assets.

Must reside near an international airport in California.
Technical Skills

Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Willing to use HRIS and reporting tools for performance and travel documentation.

Must have a personal credit card for reimbursable business expenses.
Work Conditions

Travel 15 20 days per month (some weekends/holidays).

Frequent air and car travel; prolonged standing and movement during visits.

Exposure to varied environments (stores, kitchens, warehouses).
