We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Legal Investigator. This role requires a unique blend of interpersonal, investigative, and research skills. Ideal candidates will excel in client relations, demonstrate exceptional research and writing abilities, and possess experience in interviewing people effectively. Law firm investigations or relatable trade backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client and witness interviews to gather detailed information and build case evidence.
- Perform in-depth research, including reviewing records, reports, and other relevant documentation, to support case development.
- Compile clear, accurate, and comprehensive reports to summarize findings and evidence.
- Network with other law offices and professionals to identify new leads and support case progression.
- Collect and document witness statements, ensuring accuracy and reliability for use in depositions and trials.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trials in partnership with case managing attorneys.
- Handle diverse client groups with empathy and professionalism, ensuring their needs are met and voices heard.
- Travel extensively to meet with clients, witnesses, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in investigative roles, such as investigative journalism, legal investigations, or related fields.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients and witnesses.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting reports and case summaries.
- Experience in conducting interviews and gathering information effectively.
- Flexibility to travel frequently as part of the role.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in law firm investigations, investigative journalism, or a relatable trade.
- Familiarity with personal injury law or legal case development is a plus.
