Position Summary:
As an Escrow Assistant, you will support the escrow process for residential and commercial real estate transactions, working closely with Escrow Officers to ensure a smooth and efficient transaction experience. This role involves preparing documents, coordinating with clients and agents, and assisting with the closing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Support: Assist in the opening, processing, and closing of escrow accounts for real estate transactions under the guidance of Escrow Officers.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare initial escrow instructions, title commitments, and other relevant documents for review.
  • Client Coordination: Communicate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to gather necessary information and keep all parties informed.
  • Scheduling & Closings: Help schedule and prepare for closings by coordinating with all involved parties and ensuring necessary documents are ready.
  • Funds Management: Assist in the verification and tracking of funds, supporting accurate and timely disbursement under the supervision of the Escrow Officer.
  • Compliance Assistance: Support compliance with state and federal regulations, including TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and detailed transaction records, ensuring all documents and notes are accurately filed.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle various administrative tasks, including updating systems, managing correspondence, and organizing transaction files.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an escrow or real estate support role, or similar position.
  • Familiarity with escrow processes, HUD-1 Settlement Statements, and Closing Disclosures is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of compliance requirements such as TRID regulations.
  • Proficiency in escrow software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
