We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join an Accounting firm in Encino, CA!
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in performing basic accounting functions, requiring knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation functions, and a solid understanding of general accounting principles. This position operates under direct supervision, where you will engage in entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including processing tax records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy.
In-office, temporary position with the potential to extend. 
Starting pay is $20 per hour.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and edit spreadsheets, demonstrating proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Lotus or Excel.
  • Perform audits of policy compliance and receipt documentation for selected expense reports.
  • Respond to user inquiries regarding expense reports and efficiently answer emails.
  • Process both manual and automated reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts and verify, sort, post, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to colleagues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate good analytical skills, 10-key proficiency, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Use Quickbooks experience to enhance efficiency in tasks.
  • Display strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work effectively.
  • Bring professional customer service skills to create a positive experience for internal stakeholders.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • General knowledge of expense reporting/accounting.
  • Proficient in reconciliation.
  • Quickbooks experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
