Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Employment Paralegal/Case Manager to join our team. The Employment Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to support employment law matters, including compliance, litigation, and transactional work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law and regulations, excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work independently to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on employment law topics and provide summaries to attorneys
- Assist with drafting and reviewing employment-related legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies
- Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, and other documents
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents with courts and administrative agencies
- Review and summarize documents produced in discovery
- Assist with witness preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties
- Manage calendars and deadlines for multiple attorneys
- Assist with preparation for mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences
- Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in paralegal studies or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience as an employment paralegal
- Excellent knowledge of employment law and regulations
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Experience drafting and reviewing employment-related legal documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and discretion
