Senior Accountant

CA - Remote
Pay Rate: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

The position is fully remote in the US, preferably in Los Angeles, CA, Cleveland, OH, or Pittsburgh, PA
Must be able to work from 8 to 5 PST

Responsibilities
  • Maintain general ledgers in accordance with GAAP
  • Administration of all financial accounting-related matters such as month-end closings and monthly financial reports.
  • Develop Job Costing reports
  • Prepare monthly percent of completion calculations
  • Supervise the Billing, AP/AR, Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, and Inventory control departments
  • Assist in preparing the semi-annual budget
  • Assist with control and KPI development/creation
  • Prepare monthly commission statements for Sales
  • Assure compliance of all regulatory requirements
  • Completing special projects and assisting with strategic planning

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or ra elated field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in mid-sized companies
  • Expert knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with percentage of completion accounting and/or construction accounting
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles
  • Proficient in using Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise
  • Extensive experience working in project-based companies
