Responsibilities
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for non-exempt and exempt employees
  • Process multi-state payroll
  • Strong understanding of union time and attendance rules
  • Maintains information confidential
  • Audit time and attendance in ADP and verify any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation and transactions
  • Respond to employee inquiries about payroll issues or concerns
  • Set up direct deposits and employee tax changes
  • Assist in resolving and identifying ADP system issues
  • Process deductions, wage garnishments, bonuses and commissions, prevailing and union wages
  • Process verifications of employment from outside parties
  • Calculate any retroactive pay adjustments
  • Process manual and termination checks
  • Reconcile health benefit premiums
  • Prepare payroll reports
  • Assist with quarterly Meal Violation reports
  • Train new employees on payroll and time-recording processes
  • Ad hoc duties
 
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, especially in a construction-related environment (union/non-union)
  • Experience with all employment and wage laws
  • Multi-state payroll processing experience
  • ADP Workforce Now and MS Office proficiency
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Organization and punctuality

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
