Job Description
The purpose of this position is to increase sales and employee productivity in support of a company-wide information systems strategy. This position provides system support and troubleshooting for all staff and sales associates. The IT Technician identifies and resolves end-user technical problems and questions; determines the effectiveness of automated solutions for the network and in the field.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical diagnosing and troubleshooting for users with hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Identify, prioritize, and resolve end-user technical problems and questions.
  • Manage the requests for telephones, personal computers, network access, etc.
  • Assist in the enforcement of security procedures for all workstations and laptops.
  • Create service tickets for all work-related tasks.
  • Install, maintain, upgrade and relocate PCs, related equipment and software and maintain inventory of computer hardware and software.
  • Recommend modifications for product and equipment improvement based on results or information obtained in the field; perform repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Recommend upgrades of PC equipment and software, as needed.
  • May assist in operating help desk and may serve as a backup to other department technical staff in support of Company technology initiatives.
  • May train office personnel, including sales associates, on use of software.
  • May assist with system planning and evaluations.
  • May perform evaluation on other office equipment prior to calling an outside vendor.
  • May oversee imaging of workstations and laptops
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in information technologies or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five plus years of related experience with a broad range of PC, MAC, network, multi-function printers, and applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7/8/10.
  • Experience with Mac OSX and macOS.
  • Experience with Mobile Devices (Android and iOS).
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications (Office Suite, Office 365).
  • Experience with Adobe Software (Acrobat, CS suite).
  • Experience with wireless connectivity and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of active directory (user administration).
  • Knowledge of server backups (Veeam preferred).
  • Knowledge of vlans, TCP/IP, subnets.
  • A+ Certificate a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Extensive technical knowledge of personal computers and experience with usage, installation, repair, and configuration. Voice, data, and voicemail experience may be required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Resourceful, detail- and action-oriented.
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadline pressure.

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to travel, as necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule when projects or problems warrant it.

Actual wage is based upon education and experience.
