SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for providing excellent assistance to members, branch, TEC and other department staff over the phone.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Processing share draft exception items, returned deposits and the collection of negative balances.
  • This position also is responsible for risk management practices; notifying branch offices of suspicious accounts and recommending closure of accounts.
Other responsibilities:
  • Processing of ATM, debit and credit card capture and card re-order requests, card file maintenance and adjustment requests and processing disputes and fraud claims.
  • In addition this position will process ACH exception &andrevoked items, reclamations and levies and web bill pay maintenance.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Handle a high volume of phone calls.
  • Post incoming loan payments and deposits.
  • Process returned mail.
  • Complete card related file maintenance & lost / stolen card reports.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding web bill pay.
  • Verify reports and card transaction activity.
  • Trouble-shoot system to respond to card not working complaints.
  • Process ACH exception items and stop payments and revocations.
  • Process levies and reclamations.

Other Education, Skills, and Abilities

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with credit union or bank processing or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word and Outlook) is required.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and have an understanding of debits and credits.
  • Possess excellent/verbal communication skills, customer service, analytical and problem solving skills.
