POSITION REQUITEMENTS                                                                                                      
  •  Maintain smooth operation of the IT infrastructure for a rapidly growing and exciting animation and digital content creation firm
  • Accomplish information technology results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain & blueprint/map all user machines, software, plug-ins, etc.
  • Maintain the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Provide desktop support, troubleshoot client-base graphics workstations, render farm and backup systems, install and update graphics and animation software
  • Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Accomplish IT department’s financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual IT budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action while collaborating with the executive team.
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Facilitate timely deployment of new systems, software, and upgrades while improving quality of IT work performed
  • Act as an interface with the software development team on quality control and documentation of technical projects
  • Manage Active Directory environments
  • Manage and configure Windows and Linux-based servers and appliances.
  • Manage and configure switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Manage SAN Environments (Hitachi, Isilon, etc.)
  • Manage Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure, and Security Endpoints
  • Administration and configuration of virtual environments (VMware, Azure, and Hyper-V)
  • Setup and Monitor backup plans and schedules
  • Administer and manage Zoom communication system
  • Respond and resolve end-user IT support requests and projects
  • Create and update IT documentation
  • Setup user accounts, desktops, and laptops with the necessary business applications
  • Configure and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile phones, networking, wiring, etc. as needed
  • Interact with non-technical business users to solve their technical and business challenges
QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                                   
  •  5-7 years of experience managing a multi-platform IT department
  • Experience working in digital animation, video game, film/visual effects, or multimedia company is a plus
  • Experience in providing desktop support (including user registration and deregistration to domains, software/hardware upgrades, access to network resources, end user backup and imaging of systems)
  • Knowledge of system backup and verification: including all user and server backup and recovery, and performing data integrity checks
  • Knowledge of networking, network security, and maintaining DNS, NFS, DHCP, Samba, DFS, mail, and web services
  • Microsoft and/or Cisco Certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages like PowerShell, VB etc.
  • Experience with installing, licensing, and configuring of the following software: Office, Autodesk MAXand Maya, Deadline, Adobe After Effects, and Maxon Software Suite (Cinema 4D, RedShift, ZBrush).
  • Experience with building and repairing PC hardware
  • Experience with cloning and restoring Hard Drives
  • Supervise rack-mounting and Cable Management in a Data Center Environment
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and flexible
  • Strong multi-tasking ability
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must work well in a team
