ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records.
Receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel.
Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities.
Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
Establishing or updating work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by
production schedules and workflow.
Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations.
Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department
and work crew and equipment performance.
Adhering the company to SQF requirements, Quality and HACCP programs, regulatory compliance with FDA, and customer requirements.
Follow the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and enforce them with all employees, as
well as the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for safety purposes.
Coordinate all receiving activities with the Warehouse Manager.
Provide backup for the Warehouse Manager and fill in as needed to ensure consistent and timely receiving processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual - English and Spanish
3-year college or certificate; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Mathematical and analytical skills
Multi-tasker, conflict resolution, effective communication, team-player
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proficient and experience implementing Warehouse Management Systems, Prophet preferably (this is a must)
Experience with scanners
Experience with First In, First Out method (FIFO)
Ability to move up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in cold temperatures between 30 and 38 degrees F with proper protective gear.
