Title Closers need to facilitate the real estate sales process. Job duties include gathering and researching all relevant papers, figures and documents, and ensuring that contracts conform to closing requirements. Title Closer must check for any objections or encumbrances on the title and order the proper documentation ahead of the closing. You will be responsible for handling all documents including contracts, settlement statements, mortgages, deeds, and policies of title insurance.
Title Closers ensure that the monetary amounts are correct to satisfy mortgages, taxes and judgments, and will oversee the collection of all the fees and charges that were agreed to for the sale. In addition, Title Closers will make sure all legal documents involved in the transaction are properly recorded, notarized, accurate, and prepared in proper form.
Job Requirements: Two years experience is required. Ability to comprehend and write instructions, correspondence, and memos (proper punctuation, spelling, grammar a must). Excellent verbal/written skills along with strong interpersonal skills are required. Ability to deliver superior customer service. Must have high level of organization and strong attention to detail. Must have ability to consistently meet deadlines, demonstrate strong follow through, and to follow departmental procedures. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment. Computer competency (Microsoft Office), keyboarding/data entry skills, basic math skills, phone/customer service skills, spelling and proofreading required.
